Here is my speech that I prepared for my weekend at the British Hills.
Ms Wright feel free to step in and hound me with constructive critisism seeing that it would be good to have that because I will be saying this in front of 37 Japanese students.
School has been good recently, even though of course a little boring. My host family are very lovely and this weekend I am heading to a place called the British Hills, pretty sure I have mentioned it before but basically it is an English Learning Facility in the heart of Japan which means we will be doing things like eating English meals, playing cricket, speaking only english except for my above speech and probably will end up speaking Japanese with the students. I am going because I can speak english, believe it or not!
Great thunder storms here, Japanese people freak out when I say I like 雷 which is of course, thunder. Anway, now is dinner, will post again later.

MELISSA!
Emelie.
Michel is taking a shower at the moment so I thought I would report you!
Everything is SO great. I dont regret coming here for one single second... It is just awesome, and Michel and I are even better than that. Good luck with your speech darling! We will have a lot to g through later on, Ive just been a bit speechless for the last 24 hours and more. I love it. I love him, for real.
Well well well… not long to go now until your trip to Australia, gee I bet your excited. I know we are! I know you have been here before and Im sure it will all come flooding back for you but I thought you might like a few tips.
When you get off the plane try your best with English…it works well here. We will have people to meet you at the airport in Adelaide so you don’t get lost.
We have got lots of things in store for you like a wildlife tour.. its great we have Kangaroos everywhere but contra to popular belief they are not so good at directing the traffic at the busy intersections. We have another animal here you may have leant about its called the Koala and they live in trees, very cute and soft but if they fall out of the tree when asleep you can hear the THUD for miles!
A couple of tips on our custom’s.. Men always use the toilet first and must leave the seat up.. they also aim all over the place to give the house mum something to clean. When moving in and out of the house its not considered polite to take your shoes off so just jump in and spread mud and shit all over the house. Your house mother will clean it when you are at school. When throwing your clothes into the dirty clothes basket always leave the sleeves hanging out over the edge and at least 1 sock on the floor next to the basket. Never clean up your mess in the kitchen, its considered polite to leave visible signs of your appreciation for the food for your host mum to see……she will clean up after you.
Talking about school… You be going to Tatachilla…..what a great place, you will make lots and lots of friends. We have teachers that expect you to talk back to them both in the class and the yard, like Mr Ramm.. he is such a dag and shows his true affection for you when he’s all red in the face and yelling at the top of his voice. The relpy to this you should practice in English prior to getting here… you say “Get Stuffed Mr Ramm and just raise your finger” he loves that and may even introduce you to the head of the school if he likes the way you do it!
Hey.. about the food, we just have the best food here.. it can take a bit of getting used to but I’m sure you will adapt. Most of it will kill you over time but your host mum will insist on you eating some veggies every now and again. We don’t eat whale meat here but have been known to have a little nibble on some “Port River Dolphin” from time to time. You may miss the Miso Soup in the mornings but we have a replacement for that its called “Coffee” and will make you eyes spin its that good for you!
Boys Boys Boys, well we just have the best lookin boys here girl…WOW… I know this guy called Luke and I recon you and him could just explode together in the first 30 seconds but anyways that’s enough about that!
Well that’s it for now, If you need more advice? just blog me! My name is ^%**$#@%
PS Don’t forget to bring us some photos of Japan we would love to see where you are living and some of your friends.
Cheers……………
