I really must say, apart from the raw horse meat, that I am quite in love with being here. I am really enjoying school now and my Japanese is now good enough for me to understand and talk a lot more than what I could before. I am especially enjoying lunch times and talking with the people in my class, they are all so friendly. I am studying a lot more now because I have finally found a rhythm and gotten into what I should be studying, self studying is so hard when you start it for the first time! I apologise but this will have to be short because the firewall and I are still not friends and big blogs don`t go down too well but wanted to tell you all I am alive, if not more than just alive, and soaking up every day! Love Melissa xx
(The picture is of me and Shyu and Fukushima Spring Festival. I was watching the Taiko drumming with my host mum only to discover that it was a friend of mine playing on the stage so he came down to say hello afterwards! Note the cool Japanese uniform!)

Of course you are in love being there! And Melissa, thank you so much for your comments on my blog. The thing about my three persons being my three cheery things really made me smile and think again. You are so lovely! Really enjoy your crush on Japan for a few weeks more. I am so glad you like it there.
Take everything in, before it's too late. And when you're feeling you have the most perfect scenery in front of you, listen to Imogen Heap 'Can't take it in' if you can. It's just so perfect. And I probably am going to Greece next week, so don't worry about me being gone from the computer for a while... And after Greece comes the Neths!
These are the best times of our lives Melissa! I am so glad I get to share them with you!
Love you, Emelie xox
Glad to see you have the Japanese peace sign thing going. Don't tell your Mum and Dad this but I get info every year about 5 year scholarships for students who wish to do their uni degree in Japan. Imagine that - no HECS!! Have you discovered きなこの山 yet? They are so yummy!! Have one for me. You must be enjoying the fact the yen is doing so well. Keep soaking up the culture and language.
Remember me, your Japanese teacher?
いいえ、きなこの山は何ですか? Unless it is that mountain vegetable that is covered in that crisp yellowish kind of stuff, then you dip it in the sauce...
University in Japan hey... What are you supposed to be studying though? Anything or just Japanese? Not that I am at all interested mum and dad, just wondering...
